Who Am I?

“I love to help businesses drive impactful video messaging.”

Similar to most other entrepreneurs, I have always had a strong desire to create and take on tough challenges. My Inventor/Biomedical Engineer father never missed an opportunity to teach me something growing up, and I take that same approach with each of my clients. I want to learn about your business and how we can hit the sweet spot with your video content.

I began my entrepreneurial journey back in 2015 when I started a national nonprofit that provides gym memberships to veterans across the country. I had a passion for the fitness industry, working in gyms since 2013 when I separated from the US Navy. Through those experiences it taught me how to grow that organization into 350 gym partnerships nationwide. This is where my passion for video content creation comes in…

Because we were a nonprofit, I had to learn to become a jack-of-all-trades. I created all of our business messaging, strategized campaigns with fitness brands, and project managed our program development. As I began learning about video content, and how relevant it is to growing my own business, I started to realize that I really needed impactful video messaging in order to gain new donors or customers. With that realization I dove headfirst into cameras, video editing, effects, and marketing trends, leading to the creation of Carter Davis Videography.

The Realization: All businesses are day trading attention on social media. The businesses getting the most consistent attention tend to have the most sales or people talking about their brand.

The Problem: Small business owners either cannot afford big box production studios to consistently create content for their brand, or they do not possess the time or energy it takes to create their own content.

The Solution: We provide high quality video content to small and medium sized businesses at rates they can afford.

Why You Need Video

Businesses are missing massive opportunities to be seen by their audience in an authentic and engaging way. Everyday that a business fails to make it onto their customers newsfeeds, is a missed opportunity for a sale. Here are a few reasons why you might need video content:

Content is reusable. “The magic of the movies.” We can use the same footage to make different and engaging videos.
If you’re too busy to create your own content.
If you lack experience in developing brand messaging.
If your competitors are outperforming you online.
If you feel that customers don’t know “Why” they should buy from your business.

My Work Flow

Our relationship is the center of our work flow. Quality business relationships that are reliable and produce results require strong working relationship values.

Our relationship will begin with an in-person meeting or phone call. We will discuss your business, your messaging needs, and what I can do to help you create engaging and impactful content. I will then provide my clients with an estimate of what the project(s) will cost. If you agree to the terms, you can sign the agreement and we can secure your shoot date.
50% of the total estimate will be due in order to secure the first shoot date. Shoot dates will not be confirmed unless 50% of the invoice has been paid.
Once we have finalized the agreement we will begin a google drive document outlining how your content will be created, what will be required of you and what will be required of me. This can include scripting, asking people to join us as stand-ins on the shoot, securing a location, etc. On this document I will provide a detailed shot list. We will have a phone call the week of your shoot to finalize plans or last minute issues.
Shoot day: The shoot day can range from a few hours up to all day depending on the content and agreement. We offer interviews, B-Roll, Drone Footage, Stock Footage, etc.
Once we have finished shooting, your edit will begin. The details and timelines regarding your edit completion will be outlined in our agreement.

My Highest Accomplishment

During my time as a Corpsman with the Marines (Medic), I had a lot of opportunities to make a difference for people in other countries. But once of my fondest memories was training the Jordanian infantry units in combat casualty medical management. They were sending their first infantry unit to Afghanistan to combat terrorism that was starting to show up in their country. For 2 weeks we trained the Jordanians, and after they returned from their deployment, we found out the training I provided saved the lives of one of their commanders. I was very proud that the hard work we did over there made a difference in someones life.

Off Topic Favorite Things to Do

Besides hanging with Scott and making hilariously awkward videos for his Bane channel, I love spending time with my fiance and our two dogs Bailey and Blue. I also enjoy playing guitar, trying new beers, and going golfing. I love making a difference in my community and am always actively seeking ways to volunteer my time to support local organizations.
